On the island of Porquerolles (Côte d'Azur - France), Domaine de l'Ile and a few other wineries produce rosés and whites between land and sea. The carefully-selected traditional Mediterranean grape varieties express all the distinctiveness and insularity of their location.
They bear the hallmark of a commitment, a commitment to creating wines with a unique Southern character. These are wines of the sun and the wind, unleashing the freshness of the sea spray and the character of a unique land.
“Wine cheers the sad, revives the old, inspires the young,
and makes weariness forget his toil.”
Lord Byron
Every September I remember the wonderful holidays on Porquerolles that we took a few years ago. It is a magnificent island, a small miracle and full of beauty. Worth a trip, especially in the off-season. Here you can see more posts by me about this beautiful island.
