A healthy ocean requires robust global knowledge of ocean science. We cannot manage what we cannot measure, and no single country is able to measure the myriad changes taking place in the ocean.

I remember having seen this image on your facebook page… it's still as good as it was and my remarks still apply. This is a good image in all its simplicity. The reference to the necessity of protecting the only oceans we have has to be made, too many people seem to not bother at all.
AntwortenLöschenThe same is true with the atmosphere that we are trying very hard to pollute in such a way that the planet will soon become uninhabitable. It is unthinkable, yet it is something that we must all contemplate.

I strongly agree with you, and a beautiful photo!! I was reading recently that, if we continue doing what we are doing, the amount of plastic debris in the world's oceans will weigh more than all the fish! A very sad situation.
