Our February highlight was a short trip to the ancient Möllenbeck Monastery in Rinteln on a clear, cold day. Sadly, we couldn't discover it from inside. We've enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings and the impressive architecture.
In March, we spent a lovely family weekend at our favorite spot, St. Peter-Ording.

We started in May by fulfilling a wish from our bucket list - visiting the Costa Brava together. And it was worth the long wait, the stay was so full of wonderful moments and sights.

This spring, I read the novel The Nebra Sky Disc. We decided to see this ancient artifact in person and visited the Museum of Prehistory in Halle.
The 3600-year-old Sky Disc is one of the most important archaeological finds of the past century. It shows the world’s oldest concrete depiction of known astronomical phenomena.

- Juli 2025
We have several wonderful lakes that are also excellent for summer swimming.
- August 2025
The sea was calling, and we loved staying in St. Peter-Ording again. We had such a great room with a fantastic sea view day and night.
- September 2025
September is the month Heather Blooms in our region, and we love long walks through the gorgeous natural world around us.

Some places are so nearby that one can easily overlook them. One of these spots is the Arboretum Melzingen, which we discovered last October.

- November 2025
On a very sunny and clear November day, I sold my beloved Saab Cabrio in Hannover. It's okay after 15 years of fun, and I got a reasonable price. We don't need two cars because we are semi-retired and spend most of our time together.
- December 25
We love celebrating our Silvester Dinner at home with grilled shrimp, aioli, and lamb's lettuce with mushrooms. For Dessert: Marzipan Panna Cotta with Cranberry sauce. 😋
I'm so grateful for this marvelous year full of unforgettable moments, and I hope that you enjoy this review as much as I do.
