In der schweigenden Welt,
Die der Winter umfangen hält,
Hebt sie einsam ihr weißes Haupt;
Selber geht sie dahin und schwindet
Eh’ der Lenz kommt und sie findet,
Aber sie hat ihn doch verkündet,
Als noch keiner an ihn geglaubt.
