Eisnacht

Wie in Seide ein Königskind
schläft die Erde in lauter Schnee,
blauer Mondscheinzauber spinnt
schimmernd über der See.

Aus den Wassern der Raureif steigt,
Büsche und Bäume atmen kaum:
durch die Nacht, die erschauernd schweigt,
schreitet ein glitzernder Traum.
